VINCE GILL TRIES SOMETHING NEW THIS TOUR: REQUESTS
11/13/08By Bill DeYoung
With 19 Grammys and more than 22 million albums sold, Vince Gill has nothing left to prove.
Yet the country music triple threat — he’s a singer, songwriter and guitarist considered one of Nashville’s best — rocked the boat with his 2006 release “These Days,” which included 43 songs over four CDs.
It was a gamble that paid off when the set sold more than a million copies and took the Grammy Award for best country album.
That wasn’t enough for the Oklahoma-born Gill, who recently was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
